Nvidia is getting ready to launch its big lineup of next-generation graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 5000 series.
Recent rumors point to a possible unveiling at CES 2025 in Las Vegas where Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will be giving the keynote on January 6. This is not a surprise, since in the past, CES has been the place where Nvidia has launched new products.
According to Videocardz, during a Pichau livestream, an Inno3D Brazil representative accidentally spill the beans on the RTX 5090. The representative said they would get samples of the flagship GPU in about 3 weeks. Then quickly clarified that the official announcement would be at CES.
The headliner is expected to be the RTX 5090, but several months later, other variants might include the RTX 5070 and 5080. If current rumors are to be believed, the RTX 5090 could be ready to go as early as January, with a wider release by March. This would make a lot of sense, particularly given that RTX 4090’s production stopped back in September.
The Inno3D slip seems to suggest that the RTX 5090 cards are already in mass production, as prelaunch samples would normally be sent out to partner companies for internal testing and promotional use.
With no official word from Nvidia to go on yet, the most recent reports at least give a hint something big is coming this January at CES. There might be an unveiling of an RTX 5090 and a later rollout of the remaining models. This is similar to Nvidia’s past releases, where the flagship GPU is prioritized to create buzz before the rest of the lineup is announced.
Nvidia has been making big moves lately, especially with AI. But the gaming community is waiting for what’s next for graphics cards. With the RTX 5090 coming soon, it looks like Nvidia is ready to take another big leap in graphics cards. Stay tuned for CES 2025 to see if all these rumors are true.
