HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia smartphones, launched a complete set of smartphones in 2017, from lower budget Nokia 2 to the flagship-level Nokia 8. It seems HMD Global is gearing up to launch new smartphones in 2018. Two new Nokia smartphones with model numbers TA-1077 and TA-1062 have been spotted in the database of a Chinese certification agency (MIIT) (The listing has now been removed).
The two Nokia smartphones are likely to get an early launch in 2018. About model no, we already know the Nokia 6 2018 will come with model number TA-1054 while the Nokia 9 will have TA-1005, TA-1009, and TA-1042 model numbers.
These do not match, so we can safely assume the new smartphones are not the Nokia 6 2018 and Nokia 9, hinting that the new smartphones are likely to be the upcoming 4G Nokia 3310. According to the certifications, TA-1077 and TA-1062 have 4G LTE capabilities.
Though the Nokia 6 has been revealed as TA-1054, there is a chance that the code may exist in more than one version. This speculation is given because combining these two new smartphones will make four smartphones to be released early. But we can rule out the possibility of a new phone passing through certification in China. Nokia may have even developed another set of series.
