Nokia Shares Revised Android 10 Update Roadmap for Its Devices

Today, HMD Global has taken to Twitter to say that they will be upgrading a couple of Nokia phones with the latest Android 10 soon. The Android 10 update was about to roll out for the Nokia devices back in August 2019, but the company could not make it in time as HMD Global still has some work to do to reach the finish line. The company has updated the roadmap, and many Nokia devices have been included in this Official Nokia Android 10 update roadmap.

So far, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 plus, and Nokia 6.1 users are enjoying the latest Android 10. Surprisingly, the Nokia 8 has been excluded from the roadmap, which was prepared in August 2019, and there is no assurance that this time, the device will also be getting an Android 10 update.

HMD Global claims that the delay was due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in China. In fact, all the smartphone companies have to hold the updates due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

In early Q2 2020, the Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 1 Plus should get the update. The Nokia 1 Plus is currently running on Android Pie Go, while the other 5.1 Plus is running on Android Oreo.

In mid-Q2 of 2020, the devices that are included in the roadmap of the latest Android 10 update are the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, and the Nokia 1. Currently, all the devices are running on Android Oreo OS.
