Nokia 7 Global Launch Along with Nokia 9 May Happen in Early 2018

HMD Global will launch a Nokia 9, a Nokia 6 2018, a Nokia 8 2018, and a 4G feature phone in 2018. None of the devices has an exact launch date now, and the chances of launching in 2017 are meager.

Rumors have earlier suggested the Nokia 9 launch in January. The recent appearance (December 25, 2017) of the Nokia 7 (Global Variant) with model number TA-1041 and the Nokia 9 with model number TA-1042 again in the 3C certification database hints at an early launch next year for both smartphones.

The Nokia 7 was launched in October only in China, with around 1,50,000 registrations before the sale. The device sold out immediately after release and has succeeded in China. Till now, there is no word about an Indian or even anywhere outside China release. The recent appearance in the certification database hints that the Nokia 7 will launch globally alongside the Nokia 9 in Early 2018.

The Nokia 9 was also seen on the FCC certification website with model number TA-1005 and is set to be the top model from HMD Global, replacing this year’s Nokia 8.

According to the rumors, the smartphones will be unveiled at the HMD product conference scheduled for January 19, 2018. HMD Global itself said they would be launching high-end flagships. Also, they may get an early preview of the Nokia 9 at CES 2018 from January 9 to January 12 next year.
