Nokia 5.1 Plus Might Start Getting Android 10 Update From May 2020

As we all know, the Finnish company Nokia is one of the fastest industries when it comes to software updates. They are so forward that Nokia already released their Android 10 roadmap back in August 2019. Earlier, the Nokia 5.1 Plus was scheduled to get an Android 10 update in Q1 2020, as per the roadmap. But since there is a global pandemic going on because of Corona, they made a few changes in the roadmap. The update for Nokia 5.1 Plus is now conveyed to Q2 2020.

Recently, we learned about the Android 10 beta update leaks for Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. Both are manually downloadable, but we strongly advise waiting for the official updates as these beta updates may contain bugs.

In a recent Twitter post, the Indian Branch of Nokia replied to some of the user’s tweets who was asking about the Android 10 update for Nokia 5.1 Plus. The replies state, “Almost there! You’re close to receiving the update.” This is really good news for the Nokia 5.1 Plus users.

In a Reddit post, an official Nokia support declares that they hope to roll out the update in May 2020. Very few days are there till May, so let’s hope for the best.

Nokia offers major updates for two years. Since the Nokia 5.1 Plus was released in August 2018, and it is 2020 now, Android 10 is probably the last major update for this phone and will not receive any update henceforth.

According to the schedule, the update is set to roll out between April and June. Let’s see whether the update rolls in early May or by the end of May. Till then, stay tuned for more updates, and stay home and stay safe.
