New OnePlus 5T Spotted with White Front Bezels; Could Be Soft Gold Variant

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus launched their flagship OnePlus 5T last month. Till now, the smartphone was only available in Midnight Black and Lava Red. Earlier this month, OnePlus launched a new Star Wars limited OnePlus 5T edition with a black and white color design, where the front is black and the back is white.

Today, we spotted images of a new OnePlus 5T device with a different color than the previously mentioned color variants, where the front contains white bezels. The photos do not reveal the rear, but it looks like it will all be soft gold. The buttons are also white, while the middle layer is shiny metallic.

The Soft gold color is not new for OnePlus customers. The company has previously launched a Soft Gold version for the OnePlus 5/ 3T. The device had similar white bezels with a shiny metallic look on the edges while sporting a soft gold color on the back.

Many OnePlus 5T users have demanded a White color variant. Though technically, the Star Wars Edition was white, it still contained black bezels. This will be the first variant to sport white front bezels.

The specs of this new variant will likely remain the same, though it is not confirmed whether it will be available in both 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants. The Star Wars edition was only available in an 8 GB RAM variant. The device will be sporting a 6.01-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401ppi pixel density, and protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. As for the other specs, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.45 GHz along with Adreno 540 GPU coupled with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Similarly, there are two variants of internal storage: 64 GB and 128 GB.

There is a dual (16 MP +20 MP ) rear camera setup and a 16 MP camera on the front. The cameras have improved portrait mode, low-light photography, and video stabilization because of f/1.7 aperture and 27.22 mm focal length, enabling better low-light photos. There are also face-unlocking features. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2×2, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port. Sensors on board the OnePlus 5T include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, proximity sensor,  gyroscope, and an RGB sensor.

As for the price, we expect it to come with a price tag similar to the regular variants. The 6 GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 32,999, while the 8 GB RAM costs Rs 37,999.
