New Leaked Samsung Galaxy S9+ Case Render Reveals Dual Cameras on the Rear

Last week, a couple of exclusive factory CAD-based renders and a 360-degree video of the Galaxy S9 surfaced online, which revealed the device has a single camera at the rear. We predicted the dual cameras were for the S9+. Today, reliable“leakers” Olixar and MobileFun have leaked a set of renders of transparent cases covering the Samsung Galaxy S9+.

Since the first rumors appeared, it has been debated whether all the Galaxy S9 variants will come with dual rear cameras, one of the hottest features in 2017. Even mid-range and entry-level devices like the Infocus Vision 3 launched yesterday have them.

This is a steep rise from this year’s Galaxy S8 models, which almost featured the same level of specs, with the main differences resting on screen size and battery. It looks like Samsung wants to differentiate between the two variants of next year’s Galaxy S9 series.

This differentiation may come with a steep rise in the price of the Galaxy S9+, which Samsung will justify by putting dual cameras on the rear. There were also rumors that Samsung was planning to launch three lines of flagships, not only the S and Note line. Huawei has three lines of flagships; maybe that’s what encouraged them to make this decision.

Previously, we reported that the S9+ will have a newly improved iris scanner and Dual SIM support. The S9+ was also spotted in GeekBench having a 6.2-inch edge-to-edge curved Infinity Display, powered by Exynos 9 Series 9810/Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, and will run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.

According to the leaker Olixar, who previously has a record of leaking Galaxy S models in the past, Samsung will announce the two handsets by February 2018, and sales will start by the end of the month or early in March 2018 which suggests it may make an appearance in the MWC 2018.
