Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has big plans this year with multiple models in the pipeline spread in all segments. One smartphone, the Meizu mBlu S6, also referred to as the Meizu 6S is likely to be the first smartphone from the company this year. The smartphone has been spotted in TENNA which indicate the early launch. The TENNA certification has revealed the design and key specs of the device.
The Meizu 6S features a metallic design with a “mBlu” logo in the rear which confirms that the device will be the first mBlu branded smartphone to be launched by the company. The smartphone doesn’t have any physical button or the mBack home button meaning it will go with on-screen navigation buttons. The rear features the U-shaped antenna band design popular in metal smartphones. The volume rocker button is on the left while the right contains the power button. Meizu didn’t go for the traditional front and rear fingerprint sensor rather it gave a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor just under the power button.
The Meizu 6S sports a 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of HD+(1440 x 720 pixels). It is powered by a hex-core Exynos 7872 (4 x A53 cores + 2 x A73 cores) coupled with a Mali-G71 in the graphics department. It offers 3 GB RAM coupled with 32 GB internal storage. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery with 9V/2A 18 W fast charging support.
The specs point to a Redmi 5 Plus competitor which suggest a price tag of around 1000 yuan (Rs 10,000 approx).
