Meizu 16T with Snapdragon 855 SoC Likely to Launch on October 23

The smartphone will sport triple rear camera setup with a 12MP+8MP+5MP configuration

There have been reports about a gaming Meizu phone and now we finally have it, the Meizu 16T. These reports suggest that we will see the official launch event later in October. A few leaked images of the invite have also surfaced online suggesting that the date set for the launch is October 23 in Beijing, China. Now, this is not a confirmed leak as the company is yet to even comment on this new device. However judging by the word spread around China’s media, the launch is indeed happening next month for sure.

The Meizu 16T passed through TENAA and has revealed the key specifications of this upcoming device. It will have a design similar to the Meizu 16s Pro which everybody is so fond of, specially Meizu’s slim top bezel design. It will come with a triple camera setup on the back with a 12MP+8MP+5MP configuration. On the front, we will have a 6.5-inch FHD OLED panel (2232 × 1080 pixels) with a slim bezel housing a 16MP lens.

To power the device, we will have a battery of size 4,400 mAh which will top up the device quickly with the 18W fast charger included in the box. The device with pack 6GB and 8GB of RAM with two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB. It will be a hefty device though at 183g, considering the bigger battery size, this is a small price to pay. There are three known colour variants as of now, blue-black, green and orange-red.

The Meizu 16T has also spotted on AnTuTu benchmarking platform which reveals that the Meizu’s gaming device will pack Snapdragon 855 SoC with a 2232×1080 resolution display and 6GB+128GB memory configuration.

All this sounds amazing, especially considering the fact that Meizu smartphones are priced quite low for the specifications they provide, as compared to the other manufacturers. As of now, we don’t know the price of the upcoming Meizu 16T, but going by Meizu’s track record it will be priced at an amount that everyone can afford to get a gaming phone for themselves.
