Meizu’s 15th anniversary is coming, and the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has great plans. Earlier we saw an image posted by Meizu CEO Jack Wong containing the retail box of the Meizu 15 Plus. Today a couple of images of Meizu 15 Plus has surfaced online giving the first look at the upcoming flagship phone as well as revealing the price. The device sports black and white colour along with same grey retail box seen before and will have two variants.
The leaked image shows that the device will be sporting a Full-Screen display with tri-bezel less design which looks very akin to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 but with more rounded corners. The top has no space left for housing the earpiece which makes us wonder what innovation Meizu used here.
The lower bezel may be small, but it holds the fingerprint sensor along with the front camera. Generally, with a bezel less design like this most of manufacturers would prefer moving the fingerprint sensor to the rear, but Meizu has kept the mBack button in its usual position.
The rear of the Meizu 15 Plus clearly shows the presence of dual cameras positioned in the middle in a vertical arrangement. Below the cameras, there is a flash and laser focus module in a circular ring design like that of the Meizu Pro 6. Below all of that, the Meizu branding is written in bold.
The images also reveal the pricing of the device which is almost same as we have predicted earlier. The Meizu Plus will cost CNY 2999 (Rs 30,000 approx) for the lower variant while the upper variant will be costing CNY 3499 (Rs 34,000 approx). Another image revealed the lower variant will be having 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB external memory while the higher variant will have 8 GB and 256 GB internal storage. At this price, the device is expected to come with an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The display is likely 6 inches with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Alongside the above images, Meizu 15 Plus is also spotted on the official website.
We will not be surprised if the device appears at Benchmarking the websites soon. The leaked image confirms the launch is near, maybe around March but may make an early appearance at the CES 2018.
