M4 MacBook Pros, iPad Mini, and More Set to Launch on November 1: Mark Gurman

Just about a month ago, Apple unveiled the all-new iPhone 16 series. Now, it looks like the company is set to hold another event in the upcoming weeks to showcase its latest in-house creation — the Apple M4 chip.

Apple plans to announce it with the launch of several of its products, with the main focus on the Macs.

New Apple Products Coming Early November

In his latest Power On newsletter, Apple analyst Mark Gurman revealed that Apple plans to announce a few products featuring the upcoming M4 chip around the end of October.

Some, if not all, of these products will then be available for purchase starting November 1st. According to Gurman, the list of devices is as follows:

  • 14-inch MacBook Pros, one high-end and one low-end (codenamed J614 and J604, respectively)
  • 16-inch MacBook Pro, high-end (codenamed J616)
  • iPad mini (codenamed J410)
  • iMac (codenamed J623)
  • Mac mini (codenamed J773)

As stated earlier, all of the above products will feature the Apple M4 chip. The Mac mini will also come with M4 Pro configurations.

More to Come in 2025

Gurman also states that more devices based on the M4 chip will be arriving next year. These include new iPad Air models and MacBook Air models, planned for the first half of 2025.

Both product lines will feature two versions. They are 11-inch (J607) and 13-inch (J637) for the iPads, and 13-inch (J613) and 15-inch (J615) for the MacBooks. During this period, we may also see the much anticipated iPhone SE 4 (V59).

Besides that, Apple may also announce some accessories like new Magic Keyboards for the iPad Air series (R307, R308) and an upgraded AirTag (B589).

The middle to the latter half of 2025 will be the time for a refreshed Mac Studio, as well as a refreshed Mac Pro. This will obviously be in addition to the iPhone 17 series, new Apple Watches, and possibly the M5 Macs.

All of this information comes days after the word spread about Apple’s planning to move away from its annual product release cycle. That would make sense, considering the wide range of devices the tech giant is now offering.

We hope this also means there is some innovation across their entire portfolio of products, given that recent launches have been incremental upgrades at best.
