LG W30 Pro Pros and Cons: Is it Worth Buying?

LG W30 Pro is a decent-looking phone that offers lag free-performance along with long battery life

In the smartphone industry, LG has always been a brand under the radar. But the growing popularity of budget smartphones has led LG to now attack a new line of customers. LG after a long while has just released three new budget smartphones by the name LG W10, LG W30 and LG W30 Pro. The W30 Pro is one of those smartphones that will surely turn a few heads, especially considering the price of the device. So let’s take a look at the LG W30 Pro pros, cons and review to determine if this would be just the right phone for you.

LG W30 Pro Pros

1. Full View Display

Nowadays smartphones are mostly used as entertainment devices and the trend of implementing large screen on small bodies have caught fire now. LG with their previous offerings on their flagship devices did not hold back regarding displays and the same is the situation here but on a really low budget. We get an immersive 6.21-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. This is a first in terms of LG budget devices.

2. Customizable Notch

With LG W30 Pro you get a customizable notch to set it according to your mood or convenience. It can be a default style with a waterdrop notch at the top, a v style notch or a full bezel on top notch.

3. Triple Rear Camera Setup

We get a very capable bunch of three cameras on the back, with a 13 MP primary sensor, 8 MP secondary sensor and a 5 MP tertiary sensor. So LG did make sure that we get the wide-angle implementation even on one of their budget-friendly phones.

4. Big Battery

If you have complaints that your device does not last you a day, LG W30 Pro with a mid-range Snapdragon 632 processor with a 4,000 mAh battery will get the job done easily for you. And yes it also supports fast charging but the details of it are not known yet.

5. Stereo Pulse Sound

LG has been known to make audiophile devices. They did not hold back at all with their flagship offerings by implementing a dedicated audio DAC and resonating speaker with their devices. LG has done the same with the W30 Pro, as we see a speaker promising a speaker output second to none. It has the resonating chamber as an amplifier for the W30 Pro.

LG W30 Pro Cons

1. Processor

Although any Snapdragon 600 series processor is more than enough for the day-to-day tasks. Compared to other SoC of 600 series like 675 Snapdragon 632 is little underpowered. A little bit of performance top up would have placed this phone on a whole different level in the budget market.

2. Only One Variant

With a hybrid slot to house the sim cards and memory card, a few options regarding storage would have been much appreciated. But we see only one 4GB + 64GB option which might just not be enough for many.

Is LG W30 Pro Worth Buying?

As of now, even the price details are not released by LG but we can expect it to be priced around Rs. 12,000. If LG puts a competitive price tag on the LG W30 Pro, we will see a few audio enthusiasts purchasing this device. Personally, though the pros are not good enough to tip it over the Redmi Note 7 Pro or the Realme 3 Pro. The lack of an FHD resolution display and a capable processor is a big factor for many.
