LG UX 9.0 Features and Supported Phones List for Update

Every smartphone manufacturer is trying to up their software game to make the user experience as better as possible. The goal is to attract new customers and keep the existing ones. Samsung did a good job here with the OneUI, and finally, even LG is making a move now. LG has uploaded a video about their upcoming UI, called the LG UX 9.0, which looks very similar to the OneUI from Samsung. Everyone has shown their love for Samsung’s new OneUI, and now LG is looking to turn things around for them by doing something similar. Even if it looks similar to the OneUI, this is still good news for an LG smartphone customer, given how long LG takes to push out software updates on their devices.

LG UX 9.0 Based on Android 10

The changes are minimalistic in LG’s new UX 9.0 UI, which is based on Android 10, but visually, they look very appealing. Firstly, we will see heavier font faces for app headings. Then, there are more spaces between contact names with fine markings for a cleaner look. Again, with the messaging app, things are sleek, as you don’t even need to open up an entire conversation to read a message; you can just have a pop-up of what’s inside. This is a neat touch from LG.

Much of the UI’s tasks are customized to be controlled by the lower part of the screen. This makes the one-handed user experience good as everything is there at the grasp of your fingers perfectly, without any struggle to reach the top of the screen. We see the new dialer app, call log, google search, and everything placed at the bottom. The gallery app is where the difference between OneUI and LG UX 9.0 becomes a very thin line. They look almost similar, as LG, too, went with a really clean and streamlined design with the Gallery. Scrolling through photos and videos here will feel like a breeze, just like with the OneUI’s gallery app.
