Lenovo Z6 Youth May Launch as K10 Note Outside China

Article Updated on July 29, 2019

A few months ago, we got the Lenovo K9 Note in the Indian market. It was a silent launch, but now we hear about a new K-series Lenovo device to launch in India and other selected markets soon. Nothing is certain, but a Lenovo device with model number L38111 has received certification from NBTC in Thailand, EEC in Europe, and IMDA in Singapore, hinting at an imminent launch.

The NBTC and EEC certification reveals that the device will be named the Lenovo K10 Note. However, a similar model (L38111) named the device was launched in China as the Lenovo Z6 Youth. The Lenovo Z6 Youth and the Lenovo K10 Note share the same model number.

So, we can expect to see the Z6 Youth being launched as the Lenovo K10 Note in markets outside of China. In 2018, Lenovo had a couple of K-series smartphones, beginning with “L380“. Hence, the model number Lenovo L38111 pattern suggests that it belongs to K-series smartphones.

In terms of hardware, both these devices will be identical; the difference will only lie in the names per the regions in which it is launched.

On the display front of the Lenovo Z6 Youth/ K10 Note, we get a 6.3-inch IPS FHD+ resolution with support for HDR 10 content. Considering this is a mid-range offering from Lenovo, HDR 10 might be a big plus for many looking to buy an HDR-supported device at a lower price. Under the hood, we have the midrange specialist processor, that is, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core 10nm chipset, along with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage configuration. Coming to the optics, we have a triple camera setup on the back with a 16MP primary lens, which is accompanied by an 8MP lens and a 5MP lens. These 8MP and 5MP lenses may be an ultrawide+telephoto configuration, but we are not certain. On the front, we have a 16MP selfie shooter in a waterdrop notch. Powering all these is a 4050 mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging out of the box. For software, we have the Android Pie running on top of Lenovo’s very own ZUI 11, which can be a hit or a miss sometimes for the user.

As far as the launch of the Lenovo K10 Note is concerned, it is happening soon as we have already seen Lenovo L38111 getting the certification from various platforms. It is only a matter until this mid-range beauty comes to India.

Recently, Lenovo K10 with model XT2025-3 has been approved by NBTC in Thailand. Moreover, we can also see the Lenovo K10 Plus bearing model L39051 on the EEC listing along with the Lenovo K10 Note. So, both smartphones may join the Lenovo K10 Note on its K-series.
