Chinese smartphone company Lenovo is gearing up for the launch of its latest smartphone, Lenovo S5, on March 20. The smartphone has already been featured in several leaks, along with some official teasers. But in the latest teaser, the company mentions some of its features that will set it apart from the smartphone in the same segment.
The teaser was uploaded by a Lenovo executive, Chang Cheng, on the Chinese media platform Weibo, revealing key details about the device. According to the teaser, the smartphone will be featuring a metal unibody design along with a full-screen display, which will likely have an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will sport a dual camera set up at the rear, which will have an inbuilt portrait mode with a bokeh effect. The last surprise is the Face Unlock, though the smartphone will also have a fingerprint sensor.
The teaser also mentioned an artificial intelligence (AI) powered smart engine on the device. The company promises a long-lasting battery life along with the latest ZUI version. Not only that, but it will also include a secure payment option.
Last week, Chang uploaded the invites for the launch of an ‘S’ series smartphone. Later, he released an image of a Red color variant of the Lenovo S5, which revealed features like a dual camera, metallic body, and fingerprint scanner. He went further to claim the S5 will be a better smartphone than the Xiaomi Redmi 5 variant with 6 GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset.
Other speculated features include a 5.65-inch full HD+ display, Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4 GB RAM, Android 8.0 Oreo, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Currently, there is no information about the specs or pricing of the smartphone, but we can expect it to be priced similarly to the Redmi Note 5, which costs Rs 9,999 and will go on sale today in India.
