Lenovo has always been a contender for providing value for money smartphones and this time again we have yet another all-round phone from Lenovo at a price which is very competitive right now. I am talking about the Lenovo K10 Note here. So if Rs 15,000 is your budget, then let’s see if this is the phone you should invest in.
Lenovo K10 Note Pros
Huge display with a high screen to body ratio
Big displays gained popularity towards the end of 2018 and now in the Q3 of 2019, the quest for a higher screen to body ratio has gone up to a different level. In the Lenovo K10 Note, we see a 6.3 inch FHD+ IPS waterdrop notch display with a screen to body ratio of 90%. Not many phones out there have been able to hit the sweet 90 marks, especially with a notch on top.
Huge battery with 18W charging
As more and more manufacturers realize the need for fast charging, we see more and more phones come equipped with an 18W charger out of the box, and the K10 Note is no exception. We get a hefty 4050 mAh battery on this device with 18W fast charging out of the box. This is quite an achievement since a lot of phones under Rs 15,000 tend to go for a 10W adapter out of the box.
Snapdragon 710
The Snapdragon 700 series processors are no slack, let it be gaming or other intensive multi taskings. To see a Snapdragon 710 in a device priced so low is very refreshing as most of the similar devices come with a lower-powered 600 series processor. So anyone who games a lot can also make the most of this device.
Triple rear camera
Expensive devices like the OnePlus 7, Asus 6Z still have two rear cameras at the back, but the K10 Note goes ahead here with a triple camera setup at the back. We see a primary 16-megapixel shooter(f/1.8), a wide-angle 8-megapixel shooter(f/2.4) for 2x optical zooming and a 5-megapixel depth sensor(f/2.2).
Price
As of now, the Lenovo K10 Note is priced at Rs 13,999 on Flipkart, which is an absolute steal when you look at the processor and the triple camera onboard. Not many other devices offer such a powerful performance, at such a low price.
Lenovo K10 Note Cons
Bloaty UI
The K10 Note comes with ZUI which is based on android 9 pie, but it is indeed heavily skinned and full of bloatware. So if you are looking for a clean or close to clean android experience, then this is a phone you should avoid. However, if you are only concerned about getting a high performing device at a low price, then this is something you must consider.
Irregular updates
Lenovo is quite infamous for its slow software and security patch updates in the market. The K10 Note might be an exception, but going by Lenovo’s track record the K10 Note might just end up as one of the many Lenovo smartphones that the company forgets about. The lack of timely updates is due to the fact that Lenovo launches just way too many devices in a single year, and fails to provide software support for each of them thereafter.
Is Lenovo K10 Note Worth Buying?
The Lenovo K10 Note is the best phone under Rs 15,000 that comes with a powerful 10nm based Snapdragon 710 processor, a large 4050mAh battery, 18W fast charging adapter, Dolby atoms experience and a pair of impressive cameras with 2X optical zoom. However, it misses out on the polished user experience as the phone run on Android 9 Pie-based ZUI interface. If you can get around the Lenovo’s ZUI interface then you can buy K10 Note’s 4GB + 64GB variant from Flipkart at just Rs 13,999 only.
