Leaked Hands-On Video Gives First Glimpse of Galaxy S25 Ultra

While the overall camera design with five individual camera rings at the left remains the same, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is getting design changes in terms of curvature and phone shape.

Before they merged the devices, the Note series had a flat and boxy design with pointy corners. It was comparably uncomfortable to hold, though it had the S Pen and was more of a productivity-focused device. The S21 Ultra, the Ultra flagship of the S series, now carries the design of the Note series and houses the S Pen with flatter sides and pointy corners.

With the S25 Ultra, Samsung is going fully flat with the display while also changing the curvature. As per a leak on Reddit, the video showcases a real-life demo video of the S25 Ultra. This is the final version that will ship to consumers.

Unlike the S24 Ultra, the new S25 Ultra has curved corners. Theoretically, this should improve the comfort of holding the device. The mid-frame is also different. It slightly curves at the rear.

Since there are now curved corners and a different design of the midframe, this could improve the overall comfort of holding the phone since it’s engineered to fit better in the palm. Assuming this is a real video of the S25 Ultra, the major improvement to the design will be in the form of comfort and ergonomics.

However, the overall design remains the same as the S21 Ultra- which is a very old design, and there’s nothing new with the camera. It may get merit points for not shifting to fully circular modules like the Ultra flagships from China. This is a more interesting design that doesn’t have a glaringly huge camera module. However, it’s rather old, and a new design will improve the perception of the device.

There are flat metal sides and fully uniform slim bezels for the screen. This is a flagship design through and through, but not very “distinct” or new. The rest of the specification leaks point to a minor overall update.

Leaks say the entire series will get the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SOC and no Exynos. The Ultra will carry the same 200MP 1/1.3″ main with 10MP 3X telephoto (no upgrades since years) + 50MP 5X periscope, and a 12MP UW. Charging and battery are mostly the same as well. We expect the popular anti-reflective coating to continue as well.
