At 2023’s 46th Reliance Jio’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), the company announced the launch of its new Jio AirFiber service. What is Jio Air Fiber?

Jio Air Fiber is an ultra high-speed wireless hotspot device that will deliver 5G speeds that can be compared to real broadband. This is supposed to be a portable device, unlike traditional broadband connected via fiber. Jio Air Fiber is a mobile device that can be carried anywhere with a plug to enjoy broadband, like high-speed internet.

Jio Air Fiber will operate with a Jio 5G SIM card. The operation is similar to JioFi, which operates with a Jio 4G SIM card. However, Jio Air Fiber will deliver more prominent speeds making it almost the perfect device to replace your broadband. This will be possible due to the high-speed 5G that the Jio Air Fiber will use.

With Jio Air Fiber, users can enjoy ultra-low-latency cloud gaming, augmented reality, multi-angle viewing of sports matches, immersive shopping, and other stuff without buffering. Jio Air Fiber will soon bring fiber services to hundreds of homes and offices.

Jio Air Fiber will also help people get away with the expense of buying computer hardware with the Jio Cloud PC. “Using Jio Air Fiber, users can do away with all expenses related to buying computer hardware and periodically upgrading it, and instead use a virtual PC hosted in the cloud— Jio Cloud PC,” the company stated at the AGM.

How is it different from Jio Fiber?

Jio Fiber operates only in a particular area where the Fiber router is installed; it requires a wire to install in your home or official, whereas Jio Air Fiber Home Gateway is a wireless device that works on Jio’s True 5G network. So without Fiber cable, you can access fiber-like ultra-high-speed internet with the help of Air Fiber wireless plug-and-play 5G hotspot device.

When will Jio Air Fiber be launched?
