iQOO 7 with Snapdragon 888 will Likely Launch by Mid-January 2021

Since the Snapdragon 888 is out, many smartphone manufacturers announced their Snapdragon 888 debut smartphones. Recently, a device from Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO received a 3C certification. The listing shows a 120W fast charger, and the device bears a model number V2049A. As per the rumor, it may be dubbed as iQOO 7.

Last week, Vivo teased us before the announcement about the looks of iQOO 7. Since iQOO partnered with the BMW M Motorsport earlier this year, the rear of iQOO 7 has a leather-like finish with three straight lines bearing red, black, and blue colors from left to right order.

Furthermore, we can see a triangle-shaped trio-camera inside a rectangular box. At the moment, there is no solid information about the specs, but according to a tipster, it is said that the main camera will be a different camera than that of the 50-megapixel Samsung GN1sensor from iQOO 5.

A tipster forecasted that the device may launch in mid-January. Moreover, he previously claimed that the iQOO 7 might have a flat-screen and a bigger battery than the iQOO 5 Pro. A Weibo post by Digital Chat Station reveals a punch-hole design with a single camera. Also, the device will likely be debuted with Snapdragon 888 since iQOO confirmed an SD888 SoC model in 2021. On top of it, the device may have an in-display fingerprint and may come with the Vivo’s latest OriginOS on top of Android 11.

Based on recent reports, China may receive SD888-powered phones like the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Xiaomi Mi 11 series, Vivo X50 Pro+, and iQOO 7 before the Spring Festival.
