On the other hand, Realme’s X50 Pro was launched in India on February 24, 2020. As both phones run on Snapdragon 865 chipset and offer similar pricing, the iQOO 3 device is the closest competitor to Realme X50 Pro 5G. We have discussed their detailed specification comparison and performance to find out which one is a better flagship device for you in 2020.

iQOO 3 5G vs Realme X50 Pro 5G: Features Comparison

Display:

iQOO’s flagship iQOO 3 features a large 6.44-inch 60Hz Super AMOLED panel. The company calls the screen “Polar View Display,” and it can reach up to 1200nits brightness in some cases. On the other hand, we see the 90Hz Super AMOLED display on X50 Pro that can reach 1000+nits brightness. Both phones come with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and support HDR10+ content playback. They are equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. The iQOO 3’s in-display fingerprint scanner can unlock the phone in 0.29 seconds, whereas the X50 Pro’s scanner takes 0.27 seconds time to unlock the phone. Here, Realme X50 Pro is the winner because it uses a high refresh rate display that offers smoother scrolling and animations.

Processor & Memory:

The Snapdragon 865 SoC powers the two phones with the top-notch Adreno 650 GPU for ultimate graphics performance. The IQOO 3 has a Carbon Fiber VC Liquid Cooling system, which reduces the CPU temperature by up to 12°C and surface temperature by up to 3.5°C. On the other hand, the X50’s ‘five-dimensional’ Vapor Cooling System enables higher heat dissipation performance.

They pack up to 12GB RAM and offer 256GB internal storage. Both phones offer LPDDR5 RAM technology, which provides up to 20% better power efficiency and 50% faster data access speeds compared to LPDDR4X. However, on iQOO 3, we see UFS 3.1 Storage technology, which delivers faster write speeds, better power efficiency, and more stable performance compared to X50 Pro’s UFS 3.0 Storage technology.

Camera:

Speaking of cameras, both devices house a quad-camera module and an LED flash on their back. iQOO 3 5G features 48MP primary lens with Sony IMX582 sensor while the X50 Pro offer 64MP primary Samsung GW1 sensor. Both phones have a punch-hole cut-out on display for housing selfie cameras. We see a 16MP camera inside the tiny punch-hole on iQOO 3. On the other hand, Realme X50 Pro’s punch-hole screen houses two cameras that include a 32MP camera with Sony IMX616 sensor, f/2.5 aperture, as well as an 8MP 105° ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

Battery & Charger:

Coming to the batteries of the devices, iQOO 3 is equipped with a powerful 4440mAh Battery with India’s first 55W FlashCharge technology. The 55W fast charger can charge up the battery up to 50% in just 15 minutes. The X50 Pro, on the other hand, arrives with a 65W SuperDart Charger, which is similar to the Oppo 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charger. It can charge a 4000mAh battery from zero to full in 30 minutes.

Software:

On the software front, Vivo’s iQOO 5G runs Android 10 with iQOO UI 1.0 custom skin on top of it, while the X50 Pro 5G runs Android 10-based Realme UI Version 1.0 custom skin out of the box.

iQOO 3 vs Realme X50 Pro: Which one is Better?

Recently, iQOO 3 5G (V1955A) was spotted on the Antutu benchmark platform, which scored a whopping 5,97,583 points. This is the highest scorer in the Antutu benchmark, which makes iQOO 3 the fastest phone on the planet. As far as pricing is concerned, the iQOO 3 4G version costs Rs 36,990 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version, while the Realme X50 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version. We see the Rs 3,000 difference between the two for the 8GB model. So, if you are looking for a flagship 865 chipset-powered device with 8GB RAM, then you can choose iQOO 3 4G. But, X50 Pro 5G also has a 6GB+128GB model that costs Rs. 37,999. So, I will choose X50 Pro 5G with 6GB RAM by paying an extra Rs 1000 because of its 90Hz display, 65W charger, dual punch-hole camera, and 5G connectivity.

If you are looking for a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, then X50 Pro 5G will probably be the better choice as both phones come with a similar price tag of around Rs 45,000.
