iPad 11th generation might lack support for Apple Intelligence

It has now been more than two years since Apple launched its base-level iPad 10th generation. Now, its successor—the iPad 11th generation (aka iPad 11)—is reportedly in the works. If you are waiting for the iPad 11, you will be disappointed after hearing the latest news.

The iPad 11 may not support Apple Intelligence features. Well, that conflicts with the earlier report where Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed that the iPad 11 will support Apple Intelligence and it will be powered by A17 Pro chipset. We are hoping that the earlier leak turns out to be true.

According to Macrumors, citing a private account on X, the iPad 11’s chipset identifier will carry the number T8120, which points to the A16 Bionic chip. If this is true, we won’t see Apple Intelligence paired with the A16 Bionic chip.

It is noteworthy that the A16 Bionic is still a powerful chip that is equipped with the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15, and iPhone 15 Plus. The only problem is the chip is not capable of supporting Apple Intelligence.

As far as the launch is concerned, the iPad 11th generation will reportedly launch in April 2025. Although there are no details on its other specs right now, rumors suggest we may see improved specs rather than significant changes.
