Intex ELYT e6 with 4000mAh Battery and 8 MP Selfie Camera Launched at Rs. 6,999

Domestic handset manufacturer Intex launched a new smartphone in the budget segment. The device dubbed as ELYT e6 is the latest member in the ELYT series. Last week, they launched another smartphone in the ELYT series, the ELYT Dual priced at Rs 6,999 with dual selfie cameras as its USP.

Commenting on the launch of the device, Director of Intex technologies Nidhi Markanday said,

Our special ELYT series launched this year has been well received in the market and going with the consumers’ response we have launched ELYT e6 model, designed for the online platform (exclusively on Flipkart) for tech savvy youth. Having multiple features with a focus on multitasking and storage capacity, this tech marvel will surely prove to be a customer’s delight. We have further enriched our diverse product portfolio to stay ahead in time and made our offerings the best of all for our discerning consumers

Coming to the specs, the ELYT e6 sports a 5 inch HD (1280 × 720) 2.5D curved glass display protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass that is touted to be six times tougher than a conventional glass panel. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64 bit Quad core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.25 GHz coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal memory space that can be further expanded up to 128 GB using a micro SD card.

The ELYT e6 features a 13 MP rear camera coupled with a LED flash while the front offers an 8 MP Selfie camera also accompanied with LED flash. The rear camera comes with an auto-focus (AF) lens while the front camera is bundled with software features to enhance self-portrait shots. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS, and there is no word about an Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade. Powered by a Li-Po 4,000 mAh battery the device boasts up to 16 hours of talk time and up to 12 days of standby time.

Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi. The smartphone also includes a micro USB port for charging and data transfer, a G-sensor and Emergency rescue. The device will be available only in the black colour variant. The device is priced at Rs 6,999 which places it against that likes of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Micromax Bharat 5 both offering similar specs.

The device will go on sale in the country from December 15 and will be exclusively available for purchase via Flipkart. The smartphone will be placed behind the earlier launched Intex E7 priced at Rs 7,999.
