Infinix Hot 8 Android 10 Update Roll Out Seems Distant

Recently, Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer Infinix launched its budget phone under the Hot series called Infinix Hote 9. The device comes with Android 10 and is coupled with XOS 6. The Infinix brand came to place in 2013. In the initial stage, the company struggled a lot to shine its name amongst the popular brands. Since every good thing takes time, Infinix also becomes stable in the market slowly. At the moment, Infinix is known as a low-budget smartphone manufacturer. The main aim of the company is to make affordable smartphones that all people can buy.

A lot of users who own Infinix Hot 8 devices are waiting for the Android 10 update. People are stressed about whether their phones will get the update or not. Users keep tweeting and asking about it on the official account of Infinix every day. Well, there is some bad news. Until now, there is no official declaration from the company regarding the Android 10 update for Infinix Hot 8. Since it’s just a budget phone, we will suggest not keeping your hopes high.

Not only the Infinix Hot 8 but no phone from the Hot series had received any major OS update yet. However, the Note series is anticipated to receive the Android 10 as usual.

Yesterday, we also asked on Infinix India’s Twitter handle, “When will Infinix Hot 8 get Android 10 update?” They replied, “There is no information to share with you right now. Look nowhere else but our page to keep yourself updated.”

The company will soon release a system update with version X650B-H6110JKO-P-200306V322, bringing Security patch levels of March 2020 and Google GMS package 202001. But there is no mention of Android 10. So, the Infinix Hot 8 Android 10 update seems distant.

The Infinix Hot 8 has two variants. The first variant has 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and is powered by Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm). The latter variant has 4GB RAM with 64GB internal and is powered by Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12 nm). The rest of the specifications are the same for both of the variants. Both variants have a premium look and feel like any other flagship device. They are backed by a huge 5000mAh battery, which can last a day easily. Both have a display of 6.52 inches (720×1600 pixels) and have a glass-back design with a pretty decent build.

Under the hood, the Infinix Hot 8 has a triple rear camera (13MP+2MP+QVGA) and a decent 8MP in the front for selfies. Both the camera is average and gives good pics in such a low price range. The phone currently runs on Android 9. This low-budget smartphone was launched in September 2019, and the price of the phone is Rs. 6,999. The phone is available in different colors viz. Quetzal Cyan, Cosmic Purple, Shark Grey, and Midnight Black.
