Google recently unveiled its Pixel 7 series, Pixel Watch, and teased the upcoming Pixel Tablet, which is coming in 2023. These are some incredible devices that are priced very well. While these were exciting announcements, some Pixel fans and enthusiasts were expecting the teaser of a new Pixel Foldable device.

However, leaks and rumors about the Pixel Foldable have been surfacing the web lately. Google has long been rumored to work on a foldable smartphone, and a new report suggests that the company could launch the device very soon. It will likely be called the Google Pixel Notepad. May 4: In a quick teaser video, Google has revealed the Pixel Fold look. The company shared the video teaser on its Twitter account. They also confirmed that the Pixel Fold, likely alongside the Pixel 7a and Pixel Tablet, is coming at Google I/O 2023, which is taking place on May 10.

March 15: The Pixel Fold will reportedly arrive with a price range between 1,300 to 1,500 US Dollars.

March 14: According to the report, the Pixel Fold will come with 256 GB of storage and be priced at around 1,700 euros. It will be available in two shades, such as Carbon and Porcelain. It will be released in Europe by the second week of June 2023.

January 17: Pixel Fold dummy reveals dimensions, hinge design, bezels, and more. The video (by YouTuber Dave2D ) shows that the Pixel Fold is super thin and measures 5.7mm, making it thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 when unfolded. The Pixel Fold will use a droplet-style hinge, similar to the Oppo Find N2.

December 8: OnLeaks, in association with HowToISolve, has shared renders of the Pixel Fold based on 3D CAD designs. The device will pack a 5.79-inch cover display and a 7.69-inch inner display. It measures 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7mm. Color options are Silver and Black.

December 5: An unknown device with the moniker Google Felix has appeared on Geekbench, suggesting that the device will arrive officially next year. It is expected the codename Felix is associated with the upcoming Pixel Fold. The listing shows the device will be packed with the Google Tensor G2 SoC.

Pixel Fold Expected Release Date

Update: Google will likely announce the Pixel Fold on May 10, 2023, at a Google I/O event. It could be released by the second week of June 2023.

There is no official news on the release date of the Google Pixel Notepad Foldable. Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) with 25 years of experience in the display industry, replied to a tweet stating that the Pixel Fold could debut in Q1 2023.

He also said that the panel shipments for the Pixel Notepad Foldable would start in January 2023. Unfortunately, that’s all he said about the Pixel Fold. He did not share any of the specifications of the display or the phone itself. We will update you with more information as we

Pixel Fold Expected Specifications

The report doesn’t offer many specs, but it says that the device will be a “notepad-sized” device that can fold in half. The device is also said to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX 787 primary sensor, a 12MP Sony IMX 386 ultra-wide sensor, and a 10.8MP (Samsung S5K3J1) telephoto shooter. It will have an 8MP selfie camera on the main inner display. A 10.8MP (Samsung S5K3J1) sensor will also be on the external display.

As for the display, the Google Pixel Notepad will likely feature a 5.79-inch outer display when folded and a 7.69-inch inner display when unfolded. The display will probably be OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, but it is yet to be confirmed.

As per 91mobiles, the Google Pixel Fold will carry codenamed Felix and sport dual displays (Samsung will manufacture both). The flexible internal display may support a high refresh rate (could go up to 120Hz). The internal folding panel will come with a resolution of 1840×2208. Its dimensions are 123mm x 148mm. The display peak brightness could go up to 1200 nits.

The device will feature a Tensor chip. However, it is still unclear whether it will be the 2nd generation Tensor G2 chip or the 3rd generation. Google will also bring a tablet-like experience for the Pixel Notepad. So, we can expect the Pixel Notepad to come with Android 13 or 13L.
