Galaxy S23 FE will launch later this year with Exynos 2200 chipset

Samsung has many smartphone lineups, from entry-level budget phones to top-tier premium flagship devices. One of these smartphone lineups is the Fan Edition series, more popularly known as the FE series. While Samsung has launched only a handful of smartphones under this series, most have been received very well by the people.

The Fan Edition Series started with the Samsung Galaxy Note FE in 2017 and currently has three smartphones other than this: the Galaxy S20 FE, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and the Galaxy S21 FE. But last year, Samsung decided to ditch the Galaxy S22 FE due to supply chain issues, which led people to believe Samsung had finally given up the Fan Edition series for good.

But recently, some sources claim that a new model under this lineup is in the works: the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. And in this post, we will cover everything we currently know about the device.

SamMobile says the Exynos 2200 chipset will power the Galaxy S23 FE. It is the same one used in the Galaxy S22 series in some regions. Also, all regions will supposedly get the Exynos variant only, unlike the Galaxy S21 FE. The Galaxy S21 FE was launched with Qualcomm or an Exynos chipset.

Samsung used the same 12 MP sensor for the primary camera on the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S21 FE as the non-ultra models of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 series, respectively. So, we can expect Samsung to continue the same trend with the Galaxy S23 FE. This means the device may sport the same 50 MP sensor used on the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+. Apart from this, there is no information regarding the other sensors from the source.

As per SamMobile, the Galaxy S23 FE will likely have the same battery capacity as the previous FE models, which is 4500 mAh. And we will probably see it support charging at up to 25 watts. Besides, the charger will not be included in the box.

According to the same source, the Galaxy S23 FE will have two storage variants, 128 GB and 256 GB. The RAM capacities for both would likely be 6 GB and 8 GB.

The model number for the Galaxy S23 FE will be SM-S711x, as per SamMobile.

We may see the launch sometime later this year, in the last quarter of 2023. Also, Samsung may skip their A7x series device this year, the Galaxy A74, to help boost the sales of the Galaxy S23 FE.

Lastly, please note that Samsung has not officially confirmed this information. So, we might see some changes in the final device.
