Galaxy A53 One UI 5

Samsung Galaxy A53 Android 13 (One UI 5) Update Status

Lately, we have seen many Galaxy devices get the One UI 5 firmware update based on Android 13. Now, Galaxy Club has spotted that the Galaxy A53 5G has started receiving the update too. Up until now, it was just flagships getting the update. This is the first phone in the mid-range category to get One UI 5.

When is the One UI 5 update coming to your A53 device?

The Netherlands and Belgium are among the first regions to receive the One UI 5 update on Galaxy A53. The Android 13 update is unavailable in the United States and India. It would likely be only a few days before users across the rest of the globe start receiving it, too. So, you can expect it for your device this month only, that is, November 2022.

As per the rollout plan, Indian A53 users will experience One UI 5 in December 2022.

The Galaxy A71, the Galaxy A52s, the Galaxy A51, and the Galaxy A33 should all get the update this year, this month or the next.

How to check for the update?

To check whether your device has received the update, head to your device’s Settings, then scroll down to look for the Software Update section. Inside that section, you will see Download and Install. Make sure you are connected to a network, and then tap on Download and Install.

Now, if you see the message “Your software is up to date” on your screen, you will have to wait for more for the update. But if you see the update, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.

The One UI 5 update in question is a major one, of course, with a size of 2.02 GB. As Galaxy Club reports, the firmware version is A536BXXU4BVJG.

With this update, users will get several new and improved features. Some of them include a redesigned lockscreen with tons of customizations, Modes (a renewed version of Bixby Routines), support of the pop-up display mode, an improved Colour Palette, and a Smart Suggestions widget. There is more besides these and some enhanced privacy and security features, which you will see when you install the update.

Your device may face abnormal battery drainage issues once you install the update. This usually happens after any major software update, so it is nothing to worry about. It will hopefully be back to normal in a few days.

So that’s about it; share your experience with the update once you get it!
