Last month, Xiaomi launched a new gaming smartphone called “Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition” under the Redmi K40 series. It is the fourth smartphone under the series. Now, Redmi is planning to bring a gaming smartphone that will be more affordable than the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. This device will likely be a part of the company’s K40 series of handsets.
Reportedly, the upcoming Redmi gaming will be powered by Dimensity 1100. So, instead of Dimensity 1200, Dimensity 1100 will be used. However, most of the key specs will be similar to Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. It will likely arrive with a 5065 mAh battery, 67W fast charging, a 6.67-inch Full HD+ panel, and a 64-megapixel sensor. It will also feature trigger buttons for an enhanced gaming experience.
A few days ago Master Lu has shared a poster on Weibo that suggest the Dimensity 1100 powered device could be called Redmi K40 Standard Edition in China and it will carry the M2104K10AC model number. The already announced Enhanced Edition bears the M2102K10C model number. Anyway, the Standard Edition scores 758248 points(overall) on the Master Lu benchmarks.
At present, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition 6GB+128GB model is priced at 1999 yuan. However, the upcoming Standard Edition after the replacement of the chipset could be priced less than 1500 yuan.
In India, the Redmi gaming smartphone is said to arrive under the Poco F3 GT moniker. However, it will be interesting to see whether the company bring Dimenensiy 1100 or 1200 powered phone for the Indian consumers.
