UMIDIGI, a well-known smartphone manufacturer brand has a very famous A-series lineup. This series is a pretty popular one as they provide top value for money smartphone at under $100. Now previously we had a Umidigi A3, which was loved by all and now we will have its successor. This is the Umidigi A3S, which at under $100 will be the cheapest smartphone to come with Android 10 OS running on board.
Very few devices out there are running on Android 10. And even fewer are the ones priced way below a flagship. In that retrospect this is a huge feat for Umidigi, going ahead of other more expensive devices on the software front. There are many devices that were launched last year with Android 9 and are still running on it. This new update from Umidigi will bring in system-wide dark mode, live caption, and privacy controls to the Umidigi A3S.
Now as for the device, a few pictures are already out there. In those pictures, we can clearly see a dual-camera setup at the back with a fingerprint sensor placed at the center of the back. There will two variants available as far as colour is concerned; Space Grey and Midnight Green. The only downfall we see here is the huge top and bottom bezel present on the front side. This results in smaller display size, but considering the price, we can’t expect the best of all. Additionally, we can expect a sturdy build along with dual 4G VoLTE setup, and a triple card slot for memory expansion.
Now for the price, we have a rumoured number on our hands but it is not a certain one. There is a report out there from Gizmochina which suggests that we will see this device priced at $59.99 in the open sale. And as for the launch, we can expect Umidigi to launch A3S in the month of December, probably before Christmas. At present, the company’s latest Android 10 based budget-friendly smartphone Umidigi F2 and Umidigi Power 3 are the popular device.
