Asus 6z Android 10 Update

Asus 6z Android 10 Update Rolling Out in India over OTA

It’s been just a few months since Android 10 was officially launched alongside the new Pixel devices from Google. In just two months, many non-pixel devices are also receiving the new big software update. Brands like Oneplus, Xiaomi, and Nokia were the first ones to follow Pixel on the Android 10 journey. Now we have a new addition to the list, that is Asus. Asus launched their flagship of 2019, Asus 6z, back in Q1 of the year. This phone has been in the market for a while and, on paper, provides great value for money to its customers. In addition, Asus has brought in the latest Android 10 update for the Asus 6z.

The update, for now, is rolling out in patches OTA and will eventually reach out to every Asus 6z user. Any 6z user can get into the update menu in settings to check if the new update has reached that device or not. Since it is a complete Android update, the size of the update is around 2GB, making it impossible to download without a Wi-Fi connection.

Asus has its very own customized version of Android, the skin ZenUI. ZenUI has always tried to give the user a clean Android experience, and the case is the same here with the new update. When Asus 6z was launched with Android 9, the user experience was pretty close to stock Android, and Asus has retained that here on the Android 10-based ZenUI, too. Among the major changes in the software department, the new OS version brings a new gesture navigation system, system-wide dark mode, enhanced privacy and location settings, Smart App support on messages, and much more. This, along with Asus’s AI and UI tweaks, gives the user a complete flagship user experience.

Looking at the Asus 6z (which is also known as Asus Zenfone 6), it almost has it all. The flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 has a battery of 5,000 mAh that charges up quickly using the 18W charger in the box. We also get a fantastic price tag of just Rs 31,999. But that’s not all. The highlight feature of this device is the notch-less clean display on the front and Asus’s implementation of cameras. Where other brands are moving towards pop-up camera mechanisms for a notch-less front, Asus went a step further by introducing a flip camera setup. The Asus 6Z has only two cameras; one is a 48MP primary sensor, along with a 13MP wide-angle sensor mounted on a flip module. This module as a whole can be flipped over from the back to the front so that the same 48MP lens can be used as the front camera of the device.
