Lower mid-range 5G devices might soon hit the Indian market

5G is the future as far as the future of mobile communication is concerned. But as of now, almost every 5G phone out there in the market is a bit on the higher price side. But that won’t be the case for long as many 5G phones are about to come to the market soon, which will cost half the price of what the current 5G phones do. In this article, we have compiled a list of all these phones, which are expected to be priced below the rate of 20000 INR. This is not a piece of official information by any means. Also, we are not entirely sure whether these devices will arrive in India or not.

Realme X50m 5G

Realme has made a name for itself when it comes to value for money devices and has launched smartphones in almost every category. Mid-range 5G device segment is a segment that Realme won’t miss out on, and we have details about the Realme X50m 5G that confirms it. It features a 6.57 inch FHD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It houses in the mid-range best Snapdragon 765G, with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. As for optics, we have a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP and dual front camera setup of 16MP+2MP in a hole punch design. We get a 4,200 mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. It is expected to be priced below 20000 rupees.

Vivo is not going to give up on this segment either. Vivo’s Z6 5G which is believed to be priced under 20000 INR comes with a 6.57-inch FHD+ LCD panel. It packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which is the cheapest offering from Qualcomm when it comes to a 5G chip. Additionally, here too, we get a quad rear camera with a 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP setup and a single hole punch 16MP shooter. We get 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. And we get a high 5,000 mAh battery with a 44W fast charging adapter out of the box.

This is the best performing smartphone in the list with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip, which is considerably cheaper compared to its Qualcomm counterpart making it easy for the smartphone manufacturers to spend more money on other aspects of the phone. Here we get a 6.57 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. As for memory, we see an 8GB+256GB top variant and three lower variants too. We get a single hole punch selfie camera of 16MP. A 4,520 mAh battery which supports 22.5W quick charging power the device. At present, the Redmi 10X 5G was unveiled in China with a price tag of CNY 1,599 (Rs 16,999 in Indian currency).

We have another offering from Redmi here, which could be the bigger display choice for many who want large display phones. Redmi K30i 5G features a 6.67 inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution. This device uses the Snapdragon 765G 5G chip, which is not a slouch on performance by any means. On the back, we get a 48MP+8MP+5MP+2MP quad-camera setup with a 20MP+2MP front camera setup. As for memory, we see 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The K30i 5G is expected to be priced under 20000 rupees for the Indian market.

So this is all that we know so far about these lower mid-range 5G mobile phones under 20000 that could soon come to the Indian market. A couple of them have already been launched in China, but the ongoing pandemic has pushed things back a lot when it comes to smartphone manufacturing for the global market. Nonetheless, this is what you can expect as far as the budget 5G segment of smartphones is concerned. However, as mentioned above, none of the devices Indian pricing is concrete, but we will get the devices with somewhat similar pricing tag.
