Asus ROG Gaming Smartphone to Be Unveiled Next Month

Since Razer launched their gaming phone last year, many manufacturers have made plans to launch their gaming smartphones; Xiaomi Black Shark and ZTE Nubia Red Magic are the ones to launch recently. It was long rumored that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer was developing its gaming-centric device under the ROG (Republic of Gamers brand).

Smartphones targeting the gaming market make sense. PC manufacturers have tried their hands in this segment. Acer came up with the Predator 8 tablet last year. As for the Asus gaming smartphone, an inside source reports that the company plans to launch it in Computex in Taiwan, which will be held from June 5 to 9. The source, though, didn’t mention anything about the specs. It’s not hard to guess. It should be noted that it’s just speculation, and we still haven’t got an official confirmation from the company.

The smartphone will likely be designed with a gaming-centric design and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, the most powerful currently available, coupled with 8 GB of RAM for more fluent operation and a high-refresh-rate display for a smooth gaming experience. The refresh rate will probably be around 120- 144 Hz. It will likely run on Android 8.0 Oreo with custom gaming themes and software. A big battery of around 3500 to 4000 mAh can be expected to ensure the longer game time.

The pricing of the device will be a crucial point in its sales. The gaming smartphone is almost the same, with minor differences in design and specs. Gaming smartphones are still new, but games such as PUBG Mobile will surely attract the gaming community. A well-designed gaming smartphone with a big battery will be hit at such a time.
