The next iOS update, iOS 18.3, is expected to come out this month. Yesterday, a leaker claimed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the iPhone 16E (or SE 4) will launch alongside the release of iOS 18.3.
However, that was soon debunked as Mark Gurman, a prominent Apple analyst, stated that this leak was not true. And shortly after that, he gave us the actual possible launch time window of the iPhone 16E, as well as the upcoming iPads.
New Apple devices to launch before iOS 18.4
As per Mark Gurman, it is indeed true that Apple is working on the new iPads and the iPhone 16E alongside the iOS 18.3 update. But that does not necessarily mean they will come out together as well.
It is possible that Apple may launch these devices before releasing iOS 18.4. Furthermore, he stated that this may happen by April if everything goes as intended.
The new iPads he is referring to could very likely be an entry-level iPad 11. Reports from last month back this up. Also, there is a possibility that the new iPhone SE could take the name ‘iPhone 16E‘ this time around instead of the iPhone SE 4.
Leaks and rumors in the past have also revealed some other details regarding this device as well. For instance, its design may resemble that of the iPhone 14. It could also have a 48MP rear camera sensor.
More interestingly, it will reportedly get Apple Intelligence features at launch itself. We are hopefully only a few weeks away from this launch. More details might also come out in the meantime.
