Apple is getting ready to release its next incremental iOS 18 version, iOS 18.4. iPhone users are eagerly waiting for this update as it will bring many new Apple Intelligence features.
Previous reports suggested that iOS 18.4 could arrive in early April, with April 7 as the possible release date. Now, it seems the launch is actually happening in early April, as the company has released iOS 18.4 Release Candidate today to developers for testing.
The RC build bears the number 22E239. The RC build is considered the last stage of testing unless there are major issues.
Speaking of the new features, iOS 18.4 will bring the Priority Notifications feature. It uses AI to identify important notifications and shows them on your lock screen. iOS 18.4 could also bring support for Matter-compatible robot vacuums that let you control several devices through Apple Home.
Other features could include AI-generated review summaries on the App Store, a Food section for News+, Ambient Music Controls, a new Vision Pro app, and new shortcut actions. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are also said to support the Visual Intelligence feature.
In addition to new features, Apple Intelligence will now support several new languages, including French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified).
Once iOS 18.4 is available on your iPhone, go to Settings> General and tap Software Update> Install Now or schedule for installation at a later time.
