5G is the future and we can expect an array of 5G phones coming in the near future all around the world. Yes, already there are a few 5G smartphones out there, limited to only certain markets, but we can expect a whole lot more phones joining in on that list. However, the earlier estimation that only flagship devices will be the ones to receive 5G first is now proving to be wrong. After Qualcomm launched their mid-range Snapdragon 765/765G chipsets, several devices have been announced with 5G connectivity but in the mid-range segment. Specifically Chinese smartphone manufacturers were the first one to board this train. However, these mid-range devices are not extremely budget specific devices. These are the high-end mid-range 5G phones under 30000 INR that have grown in immense popularity in recent years.

The gap between a mid-range and a flagship now is narrower than ever and these premium mid-range devices are the cause of that. So in this article, we are going to take a look at the best 5G mobile phones under 30000 rupees that one can buy in 2020, without making many sacrifices in terms of design, hardware and performance in comparison to a flagship.

Redmi K30 5G

It comes with a 6.67 inch FHD+ LCD 120 Hz screen with dual punch hole cut out for the front cameras. This is the first phone to ship with the Snapdragon 765G which supports both SA and NSA sub 6Ghz networks. Redmi K30 5G features the latest 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor with 1.7 aperture, paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, a 5 MP macro lens and 2 MP depth sensor. It comes with a 4,500 mAh battery that can be topped up quickly with a 30W fast charger. The base 6GB + 64GB variant is expected to be priced at around 20000 INR, with the highest 8GB + 256GB variant at around 30000 INR.

Realme X50 5G

It comes with a 6.57 inch FHD+ LCD with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has dual camera punch hole at the top left corner featuring a 16MP + 8MP setup. On the back, we have a quad-camera setup with a 64 MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 12MP telephoto lens and a 2MP macro sensor. Inside the Realme X50 5G, we have the Snapdragon 765G with support for SA and NSA sub 6Ghz networks. It packs in a 4200 mAh battery that can be topped up quickly with the box included 30W VOOC flash charger. It takes the device from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes. The base 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at around 26000 INR while the highest 12GB + 256GB variant is expected to cost around 30000 INR.

Vivo X30 5G

This new 5G handset from Vivo features a 6.44-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a single camera punch-hole design in the top right corner. It is said to be a 32MP camera with a decent angle of view. On the back, we see a 64 MP(Sony IMX686) main camera lens, an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 13 MP periscope lens for five times lossless zoom. Inside we have the Samsung Exynos 980 which is quite decent as compared to similar Qualcomm chipsets. It packs in a 4350 mAh battery with support for 33W quick charging. The Vivo X30 5G could be priced at around 30000 Rupees once the phone is launched in India.

Oppo Reno 3 5G

This new device from Oppo features a 6.4 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a single camera punch hole at the top left corner. It is a curved display from Oppo here, and the falling screen on the sides results in a screen to body ratio of 93.4%. This phone comes with a quad-camera setup, consisting of a 64 MP primary camera lens, an 8MP Ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP monochromatic lens. The punch hole on the front features a 32MP camera lens. In terms of battery, we will probably see a 4025 mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. The device is fueled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L 5G processor. The Reno 3 5G is expected to arrive in India with a price tag of less than 30000 INR for the base 8GB + 128GB variant.
