With rumors of the OnePlus 5 being out of stock, OnePlus is soon gearing up to launch its evolved version, the OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 5T was under various leaks and rumors, and a picture of its web page reveals its announcement and launch date.
A OnePlus device bearing model number A5010 was spotted on the mobile benchmarking tool GFXBench earlier today, and reports suggest it to be the OnePlus 5T. Interestingly, the phone was revealed on another benchmarking site, Antutu, a few weeks ago.

According to the new leaked spec sheet from GFXBench posted by a random user on Weibo, the specification of the upcoming device is similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 5, with minor upgrades. The handset features a 6.01-inch FHD+ display with 1080 × 2160 pixels resolution. This confirms the rumor of the OnePlus 5T featuring a bigger 18:9 ratio screen while following the Bezel-less trend. Because of the massive display, the fingerprint sensor will be removed from the back of the device.
The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 coupled with an Adreno 540 GPU similar to its predecessor. It will be available in two memory variants: 6 GB RAM + 64 GB internal space and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal space. The optics department will sport a dual camera (16 MP + 20 MP) like its predecessor, which consists of a wide-angle lens and another with a telephoto lens with aperture f / 1.7. However, the spec sheet confirmed that the front camera had been upgraded from 16 to 20 MP.
The Spec sheet also mentions the OnePlus 5T to be running Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and not Android 8.0 Oreo, which is disappointing. Last year, the same thing happened with the OnePlus 3T between Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat. We don’t want that to be repeated. The battery is not mentioned, but it will likely carry a bigger battery than its predecessor, considering its bigger display. It will come with Dash Charge technology, eliminating wireless charging. OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau explains that wireless charging uses coils, which make the device thicker. The device also includes a 3.5mm jack.
As per rumors, the device will be announced on November 16 and available from November 23 exclusively on Amazon.
