Moto X4 Gets A Indian Release Date: Everything You Need to Know

Moto X4 was set to release on October 3 in India. But for unknown reasons, the launch could not take place. Now Motorola has announced (again) on Twitter that the phone will be available for sale from November 13.

The handset was first unveiled globally at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The unique feature of this device is that it supports both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa as a voice-based assistant. The launch of Amazon Echo speakers and Amazon Alexa Voice Services earlier this month has made it possible, and the Moto X4 will take it to another level.

The Moto X4 sports a metal unibody design and an anodized aluminum frame with a 3D rear contoured design. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass on both the front and back. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the home button on the front. The device measures 148.35×73.4×7.99mm and weighs 163 grams. The handset features the USB Type-C port and the 3.5mm audio jack placed below the handset. The Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) LTPS IPS display with a pixel density of 424ppi.

Under the hood, it sports an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz with Adreno 508 GPU. We also get 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory, which is expandable to 2 TB via a micro SD card. The device is backed by a 3000 mAh battery, which Motorola claims 6 hours of power in 15 minutes with the 15W TurboPower charger.

On the optics department, the device features a combination of dual cameras at the back- a 12-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. The camera also can recognize objects like cards and automatically add them to the phone book. The camera app takes some Snapchat and Instagram inspiration in adding the ‘Face Filters.’ Camera modes include Ultra-wide shots, depth detection, professional mode, selective focus, etc. The front side gets a 16-megapixel selfie sensor with flash support, f/2.0 aperture, and 1-micron pixels. Looking at the specs, this smartphone looks pretty good from a camera perspective.
