Under the hood, the Honor 7x features an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four A53 cores at 1.7GHz), a mid-range processor featured in the Huawei Nova 2, Nova 2 Plus and the rumoured Huawei Nate 10 Lite. The device consists of IP67 waterproof lining that repels dust and water up to three and a half feet deep for 30 minutes. The phone also supports 3D surround sound.

Coming to its optics department, the Honor 7x features a dual camera setup on the back. The dual camera setup consists of a 16 megapixel + 2 megapixel assisted with phase detection auto-focus and LED flash for capturing those popular bokeh images.
